I beat Atom RPG for the second time after trying to explore every single questline I could. Whoo-boy... what a wild ride that was! I noticed that there seems to be a re-occuring theme of religious cults in the game. They seem to pop up everywhere you look. Here are the cults that I uncovered and some random thoughts:

-The Mushroom cult. The biggest central cult in the game. No way to avoid contact with this one.
-Devi Krishna cult. Not much of a threat, honestly, but the questline was pretty amusing.
-Random tin-foil hat cult. I kept running into these guys in the wasteland. Is there more to them, or are they just generic bad guys?
-Book burning cult. I thought there would be more of these guys, but once you have that fight with them, they're never seen again.
-Goat cult. I wanted to check out their cool goat statue, and they attacked me, so I had no choice but to defend myself.
-"Death" cult. This one was an interesting quest line. I killed the 3 leaders, but there was also some young goth girl in Peregon who was in the cult. Never figured out what I was supposed to do about her.
-Lenin cult. This one really made me chuckle. It managed to be a satire of both Leninism and Warhammer 40K.
-Rat cult. Throughout the game, there were intelligent rats, and at one point you find some kind of King Rat in a cave with a throne surrounded by paintings. A funny homage to Fallout.

That's 8 different cults! Am I missing any others?

Don't think you missed any, but to answer lingering questions:

The Death Cult: if you figure out how to actually join them (instead of wiping them out), the cute Goth chick with daddy issues joins you as a companion. All other companions will leave you though, and the game will turn out VERY differently from then on (mainly because you miss out on pretty much every quest everywhere, due to the Death Cult being a bunch of violent psychos).

The Goat Cult: You can join these guys as well, but only if you manage to get possessed by an evil spirit.

Thanks for the reply, I had no idea about joining the death cult! The fact that they added this as an option as well as an exclusive companion is nuts to me. I think this is why Atom is currently my favorite game. All the hidden detail an inter-connective game play elements.

Oh, and here are possibly two other cults: the brainworm cult and the Hesperus star cult. However, the brainworms may be more of conspiracy and the red star may be some kind of mass delusion. Not sure if they fully qualify.

The Death Cult I haven't fully messed with yet, but I did join them and checked out the companion. I actually only discovered this via forums, didn't even know it was possible before that.

Is there a Hesperus star cult? It seems more like a phenomenon that has taken on many tales and myths, but doesn't appear to have a specific cult worshiping it really. The "Hesperus Star" is a real thing too, just misconstrued by the people due to lack of tech/upbringing/etc.

The brainworm isn't really a cult either. At first I thought the whole thing was a myth, like many crazy things you hear about, but like a lot of those things, it then turned out to be pretty real when Alexander came to see me at my camp. Before that, I thought those three guys were just nuts (but they were probably all infected by the brain worm).

The brain worm does give Alexander the power to resist the crazy mushroom better than anyone else. And it's not clear how much of his brain he lost, since he comes across as not the brightest lad anyway (though he may have already been infected by then?). But there don't appear to be people worshipping or following the brain worm?

Trudograd actually adds a few more, like the Turnip cult and the Beetroot cult. It's kind of crazy that ATOM was a game taking place in the former USSR and there wasn't a single turnip in it...
