I seem to have encountered a bug with the Strategist mission. I've successfully recruited the team needed for the mission and when I volunteer to help them and go to "End of the line" they are not there. I've waited a bit, but they didn't appear. If I kill the slavers and return to the Strategist he doesn't register the mission as completed. By entering the "End of the line" location twice in a row, without killing the slavers, on the second time the slavers will be dead, but still the team is not there and Strategist doesn't recognize the mission as completed. This is the second playthrough that I've encountered this problem. Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong?
I am playing with 1.085 version, no mods, and I've discovered the "End of the line" location prior to taking the mission from Strategist. I've also checked the game files via Galaxy and all seemed fine.

Thanks for replying. A video on youtube showed the mission working in a previous version, so I hope devs fix this soon.

Strange, this worked for me - although at that stage it may not have been the 1.085 patch. It was definitely a patch or two after the QOL improvements (so 1.08).

So either they borked something in-between those updates, or there's it's triggered by some specific order or something. Or it's random...

This game I didn't discover the "End of the Line" until after I'd received the mission from Strategist though - so my first visit was meeting the Strategist's people to take down the slavers. So that's the only thing I can think of - that somehow visiting this before getting that mission messes it up somehow?

I can confirm that loading to a previous save where I haven't entered "end of the line" prior to starting the quest, allows you to finish the quest with no problems.
Entering the location before having to meet the mercs bugs the quest.
