Hi everyone,

I just bought and downloaded the Atlantis series and tried out The Lost Tales. It loaded okay after running the compatibility troubleshooter which recommended I run the game in Windows XP.

It worked for about two minutes, in which time I was able to speak to the first guard and turn right. Then, I tried to open the menu and it froze, glitching the soundtrack and making the mouse immovable.

Another problem I encountered was really slow-moving cinematics and characters (as opposed to the violent shimmying my CD copy had), and the mouse had way too much momentum and was heavy to move around.

Is there any way to speed up the cinematics (by the time the introductory speech was over, the movie clip was only about half over)? Further, what specs does everyone run their game in? Resolution, color-bit, etc.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I am currently running a Windows 10 machine.

If you take a look at this thread, you should find out that unfortunately you're not the first one experiencing these issues.

Thanks for your response, dr.schliemann. I have had a look at those solutions and through the different threads here, but I can't quite get any to work. For increasing the frame rate I downloaded Hex editor but cannot find the right string of text, and I can't get the game to stop freezing, although I have not had any issues with crashing yet.

Is there maybe a different download source or somewhere that I can find the game file with all the patches already loaded up? I'm not really experiences in meddling with game files as I'll be honest I'm not sure what I'm doing with editors and file extension modifications.

EDIT: I am working on finding E9 D2 FD 06. I will update to let you know if it fixed the videos but the freezing problem is still not solved.
