On Windows XP this game is known to crash during the first conversation with a NPC. There is/was at one point a patch for this but I can't find it. Is the GOG version patched? And if not, does anyone know where I can find the patch? (I need to know before I buy it so that I don't buy a game I can't play)
I've read it's v.1 and some else said it's v1.0.0.6.
So it would be nice to know what patches have released,if any.

pcgamingwiki says the v3.0 patch is for the retail version only.

So i presume gog version is up to date.

EDIT:
GOG WIKI SAYS
Earliest Known Version 1.0.0.6:

So i'm not sure what that means.

I played this GOG version on my winXP machine about a year ago and never encountered any problem. Didn't have to look for a patch or anything. Played smooth!

If you have an AMD card the subtitles are likely to be missing when you try to talk to that first person,it might also explain why it crashed.
They released a patch to fix the AMD subs issue and i can say it does work.
Though my game did crash at another point in the game and i'm not sure if it was just my computers lack of memory that caused it or if the game is still buggy in places.

Anyway the patch is definitely useful for AMD card owners.

P.S..I haven't played this Gog version.
