Hey, can you tell me if the "Atlantis 2" available on GOG is the old version or the updated crappy one with no character animations, some puzzles removed and simplified gameplay?

Well, I haven't played all the way through... But it looks identical to my copyright 2000 4 CD version. Was there another?
I've never heard about an updated version either. I'd like to know more about it but I can't find any information on that online.
However, I saw somewhere (I thought it was on GOG but I can't find it now) a screenshot with some kind of icon on the bottom right, which I'm sure isn't there in the first (and only) version I know of.

EDIT: It was the screenshot in this thread: http://www.gog.com/forum/atlantis_series/the_jaguar_puzzle_of_atlantis_2_wont_work
They mention a "remade version" so I guess it exists. But is there anywhere that lists differences?

It was released mainly for iPads, but there's also a version for PC that's exacty the same. The differences are huge, as most of the puzzles are very simplified (most of them you solve just by clicking randomly) and there are no character animations in Omni Sync (you just get static characters). I got my copy in a Polish online shop and I was really disappointed. I wanted to make sure the one sold here is the original one.

You can watch the gameplay from that version on youtube: youtube. com/watch?v=Y_QGtLTc99I&list=PLjD5GdkUZbcH70FpndXlmjdGWt23sTw9x

Nothing like in that video in my GOG.com version.
So I think it's the original one

Bad news for MAC users - this is Atlantis 2 for MAC (from gog)!!! This same game engine is used in Mac version of Amerzone: The Explorer's Legacy and the same situation - the game simplified. I checked only the beginning of Mac Atlantis 2 but I have a bad experience with Amerzone so I did not want to check more. Authors should rename the game and add some notice, that this is remastered version or something like that.
