I'm trying to do the tutorials the game offers, but I get stuck when I'm supposed to mine a special yellow asteroid. I can't see it. All I see are green asteroids.

I tried looking for it other ways, but no luck. I was hoping that the mission tracker might have a link that would allow me to select the asteroid, but that didn't work. I also tried scanning as many asteroids as I could, but I got bored of that.

FYI, I have played EVE online before, so I don't need the tutorial. I figured I would test it because this game in development.

I think I figured it out.

If you start a new game, or load a game out in space, you will be able see it.

If you load the game inside a station, you will not be able to see it.

I've have been saving inside stations, so when it came time to mine, I couldn't see it.

I seem to be unable to continue with the tutorial. I have done the mining and completed the mission, but it still thinks I'm on the mining stage of the tutorial.

you docked, and nothing happened? perhaps open her OFFICE, jessa.
hmmm... can u zip your save folder for me, love to see whats happening. ooooooh, that really narrowed down the bug. im on it now.

just found and fixed that bug, and the related, warping into a sector with tactical sensors on, not showing the yellow mission object until u toggled tactical again. thanx bud!

I might be able to do one better. I think I figured out how to reproduce the problem.

You can break it by going through the tutorial, complete the all the steps of the tutorial inside the station (maybe), then go outside and save & quit to main menu. Then load up the game and go mine the asteroid. Then return to the station. You should be unable to get a message from your contact. They should be stuck on the tutorial.

This might break other stuff. I've been finding that I was immune to life support drain for a while, and immune to taking hull damage. Figuring those out is my next project.

Edit: Umm... Do the players get a grace period where they are immune to armor damage and life support drain? I jumped into the game doing nothing special. I made my way to the Bitcola sector (security 0.9) and started mining. I was mining and ignoring the raiders that would show up. Once the patrol showed up to deal with the raiders (and me), I would start looting the wrecks. I was happily exploiting this bug.
