None of these are particularly important, just things that could possibly be a bit better/easier.
Main Screen - Active Equipment UI
The icons at the bottom of the screen would be clearer to see if they were not transparent.
When the location markers overlap the icons they can become very difficult to distinguish in the visual clutter.
Ship Behaviour - Auto Dock/Warp
When using the active scanner to scan structures, the ship automatically docks with/activates the structure interrupting the scan.
This was very confusing the first time it happened (I ended up docked at a habitat with literally nothing in it wondering what the heck was going on).
Might be worth considering overriding the auto dock/warp if the ship has its scanner activated.
Also related, when entering a new (unexplored) system the first thing I want to do is spin the camera round and record where the gate I just came through is. But doing that sends me back through the gate to the system I just came from.
I've started moving away from the gate before doing this so it doesn't happen - which might be the correct thing to do and I was just doing it wrong before.
It was still a frustrating experience.
Would be neat if any gate you come though is automatically scanned and recorded if it isn't already though.
Station Interior - General
Would it be possible to disable the 3D sound positioning inside stations? (Or have an option to do so?)
Using headphones becomes incredibly uncomfortable when only one channel is being used. And docking at staions currently requires rotating your ship on the screen so the sound channels equalise before doing anything else.
Station Interior - Market
It would be really nice if you could click on any item in your cargo hold and it brings up the remote price guide so you can find where you need to take it without having to search for it, or pick it out of the list (if its even on there in that station).
Alternatively, add the remote price guide when dragging an item to sell.
Sometimes all I want out of a station is to tell me where I need to go to sell something for a not terrible price, and that can sometimes be more of a chore than it needs to be.
When buying equipment that needs certain skills, it would be really nice if the Skills Requirement text was green if you have the skills and are qualified to use that item.
Technically this is covered by the warning on the button if you don't qualifiy, but it would be a neat bit of polish (and a confirmation for the user) if this were also reflected in the description card.
Station Interior - Missions
Some missions are impossible to complete because either the start or end point is locked behind a gate the player cannot pass.
These missions should at least be marked that they need additional access to complete.
Ideally they would not be shown at all.
Station Interior - Storage
It would be really useful if there were a quantity slider on interaction with stored items, so you can pick up a number of parts to complete a mission without having to pick up the entire stack (or fill your hold and return with them later).
Galaxy Map - General
Would it be possible to add the option to swap the behaviour of the mouse buttons?
For some reason my go-to instict to move the map around is click-and-hold RMB, which inevitably means every time I go to adjust the map I spin it about instead of moving to where I want.
Scrolling by keys could also work.
Did this game used to be a prison mining simulator running unity through a flash container at some point?
Big leap forwards if yes.
Thanks for creating this in any case - it owns.
