I hope to play Astrox both at home and continue at work. I read that while you can save to the gog cloud but not pull from the cloud. The other suggestion was copying and pasting the playe name directory back and forth which is similar to what I have done for other games but unfortunately while seeming to work I have lost all University lists and can not train anything.

No issue as I will just have to play 2 different chars home/work unless anyone has a method that works?

Thanks in advance.

i play right from a USB stick... works great!
just put all the game files there, and run right from the drive. your saves will be stored right there on the stick.

Thanks Momo, but the whole game, or just a single directory?

Copied to thumb drive but unfortunately.... all university skills are blank in every station.

you copied the whole game? all paths are relative, ive tested this on at least 6 pcs. see if you can find the hangup, i would love to know what is preventing this for u. coulcd it be the permissions on the pc? try running as admin.

No, therein may be the problem, I just copied the specific char directory so I may have corrupted something. The shame is that all else seems to be working but from now on I will do the whole game. Lost about 8 hours of play but probably my fault thinking I could just copy the Char directory and subs.

I was really hopeful that the GoG cloud saves could allow 2 computers to keep up to date on the same character.

here is the good news.... all the files in your save are just plain text. go edit yourself back some cash and skill points, u can try to tweak it back to what you had so you dont have to start from scratch. skills, stats, ships, all of that can easily be added to a new game. just poke around a bit, you will find it is as straight forward as i could make it.
