I love gog.com. It has given me access to many titles that I played when I was younger in a legal way that doesn't involve ebay. I'm even willing to pay more for some games that I would in other places, but AC takes the cake. 20 dollars on gog, 10 on steam. You guys have to negotiate a bit more with ubisoft. :D

Except that from GOG you get: a manual, 9 wallpapers, complete and offical soundtrack, 16 avatars, 19 artworks and an artbook. Though I wouldn't mind a lower price, I'm fine with the price if it makes Ubisoft move away from their DRM-whoring.
I bought Assassin's Creed from Ubisoft's website (well, the link they given). I paid 9.99 €
But, after a month I bought a new video card and the game asked for re-activation which did not work, saying that I have to contact technical support. So, I have contacted them but they did not replied yet. So I tried to reinstall the game. This failed as the download was no longer available after 30 days. So.... what I did is to buy this game from GOG and forget about ever buying from another place.

Does the fact that you can re-download the game, if you want, after 1 year again worth the price difference? I guess it DOES! Plus you have bonus materials.

Yeah, the soundtrack alone already justifies the price if you're into that kind of stuff. Not only do you normally have to buy it separately but the only place I know where you can legally acquire the "complete" soundtrack (which includes a lot of music not present on the OST) is GOG.
