I'm curious as to whether there are any mods that make they keyboars/mouse controls usable for AC. Anyone know of any?

What do you mean? The game works fine with keyboard + mouse by default. In fact it's the gamepad support that is somehow screwed up (reportedly at least the original release officially only supported the Xbox 360 controller while the game can't even handle the triggers - just plain awful).

I'm talking about a mod that makes it so that, for instance, I don't have to hold five keys to run.

That may be a slight exaggeration. It's been awhile since I touched the game.

I believe there is a setting in Options that enables switching to aggresive mode(instead of holding the key). You have to start a memory to get to that options menu.
