Greetings.

How does the unit control system work?

Is it drag and press CTRL + 1 for control groups?

Fleet/army system like in Sins of a Solar Empire where you can create organised battle groups and set their behaviour, formation and so on?

Like in the Kohan games where you create permanent unit formations?

------

How does reinforcement and healing/repairing work with this?

Mark a formation and have it sent reinforcements automatically?

Create units and attach them to existing formations?

Create units, move them to a formation and create a new formation with the group?

Control groups work as you describe. By forming armies you can link multiple units into a cohesive "meta-unit". Formation is handled intelligently by the members of the army: artillery in the back, then ranged units, with close in fighters up front. You don't need to manually control formations as a result!

Sounds like the Fleet function in Sins of a Solar Empire which is good news. :)

Follow up questions.
1: How does reinforcements and healing/repair work? Do I have to keep creating a new Control Group when I reinforce it?
2: Can I set behaviour? For example if I wanted a army to engage everything it sees (For things like defense and patrolling.) or just close enemies (To break through enemy lines.).

By the way are armies sticky? If they're engaged can they still move away before the battle is over? Is there a retreat function?

1. Reinforcements can be ordered from T2/T3 units in the army. Idle factories will automatically build and send the requested units.
1a. Healing is done automatically by medic units or stationary repair bays.
2. No.
3. Armies can retreat.

Good. Many thanks for taking your time and answering my questions. I like what I'm hearing. :)
