Hello.

Ascendant is a fantastic game. Having waited for the patch since release, because I need to rebind the buttons to be able to play it with my controller, I downloaded the patch yesterday. I ran the patcher and it seemed to do it's thing, but nothing seems to have changed in the game. No rebindable keys and the game throws you to the beginning menu if you die. Trying to run the patcher again informs me that the game is already patched.

What do?

Did you run it as admin? Also, it's better if you don't install GOG games to Program files folder.

Thanks for the reply. It seems I didn't. After reinstalling as administrator, I now get these errors with the patch:
"Runtime Error (at 4:888):
Internal error: ExtractTemporaryFile: The file "v0f20patch.pat" was not found."

and

"Out of Global Vars range."

I now have a new executable with a higher version number, but the game still doesn't seem to have updated (unless I'm missing something). That is, I can't seem to be able to map controls.

I forgot to mention I'm running Windows 8.1.
