First off, sorry we've been pretty much absent from this forum. It only dawned on us recently that we need to have a presence here on GOG as well as the handful of other places we talk to players. There's really no excuse for it, we just weren't thinking. I will be ensuring that future questions here are answered as diligently as we have been on our other forums.

Secondly, we have updated to version 1.2.0 and have uploaded the builds (including Linux) to GOG. I'm not sure of the time frame but you should be able to patch soon.

Again, our bad for dropping the ball here on GOG. We will be better about it in the future.

Glad you think so! The biggest change was the addition of difficulty levels so we can bring more people into the fold.

Thanks for bringing Ascendant to GOG and double thanks for making it available on Linux.

A quick question: Is there a reason I cannot play at 1680x1050 resolution? It is not listed on the settings screen and editing the pref file directly has no effect (it reverts to 1600x900).

No specific reason, we chose only a handful of resolutions to include. We wanted a variety but didn't go beyond 16:9. It shouldn't be that hard to add in another so I'll put it on our to-do for the next update.
