FOR THE LOVE OF GOG! You again? I was hoping you like... I don't know... were abducted by UFO or some other conspiracies shit... Just go away. Get a life... or girlfriend... or REAL job. Seriously - forums are not a real world and GOG is not in some Axis of Evil stuff. Go away. We don't like you. Just... go... NOW!
To all GOG users - just give him negative reps! Maybe he will get that allusion finally.

Rage Boy - you live up to your name - you have a lot of rage, but luckily, like a lot here, you're obviously just a boy!
All this flaming just for re-posting word for word what Arkane Studios said! Doesn't take much to get everyone going, does it? :)

So - if we are so pathetic - why you are wasting your precious time here? We do not value your opinion. We all already show you that we think you are wrong and you are wasting your frustration. Just leave us alone - we do not care for you. Actually we think you are a huge troll. Just do us a favor and leave.

UK_John: So there will be no standalone 1.19 patch and Arkane have more or less admitted GOG paid them or made this patch themselves.

Since I see you're still actively posting here, I will tell you about something very interesting I spotted the other day.
Arkane's site links to various digital distribution services selling Arx Fatalis; no surprise there, right? However, and [url=http://www.direct2drive.com/7867/product/Buy-Arx-Fatalis-Download]Direct2Drive both list the game version as 1.19! It seems this is not some "GOG patch" after all but is instead something that is available on all digital distribution services (except for Steam for some reason, but Steam often delays or ignores patching older games anyway).
If GOG had made this patch themselves all that hard work surely wouldn't end up on competing services, and if GOG didn't make it that means Arkane must have. This means that, as previously stated, your issue should be with Arkane, not GOG. I hope this helps clear things up a bit. :)

The page one quote from GOG admitting the patch was made FOR them says it all. So I was right and every one flaming me wrong. Such is the world....
Just want to chirp in.... GOG ArxFatalis runs better then my old disk version. I find myself coming back to AF all the time just enjoying the game; amazed at the clarity and beauty of it. Thank you GOG for getting AF to work so well.
I have to say that while UK_John clearly hasn't endeared himself here on these forums, I'm in the same boat he is and I share his feelings about the 1.19 patch apparently being only available only as a built-in bonus on downloadable versions of the game.
I purchased Arx Fatalis on CD a few years ago, and just recently re-installed it on my computer. On looking to see if any new patches were out, I came across this talk of a 1.19 patch, only to discover on this forum that apparently there isn't - and never will be - a standalone patch.
I too feel it is both frustrating and somewhat unfair to make me re-purchase a game that I already own (good though the price may be) for just a few bugfixes. I'm still on the fence about whether I should do so or not - I liked Arx, but I really don't want to have to spend extra money just in order to get the 1.19 patch.
Unfortunately, I don't really know what can be done. Neither Arkane Studios nor GOG have any incentive to create a standalone patch - Arkane because I doubt they make much (if any) money from CD versions for the game anymore, and GOG because their own versions don't need it (and probably because they don't have the programmers to make a standalone version even if they wanted to).

I bought it years ago on CD, as well...

I don't blame you.
I don't wanna spend more $ on it, either.
It's not like the GOG version adds say any significant or new extra in-game content to the game...

It would be nice if Arkane did Patch the CD Version (that JoWood published) to Version 1.19 to keep us old game-owners happy.
Maybe if JoWood still kept the game in-print on CD, maybe Arkane would patch it up? Who knows. *shrugs*

Someone made a custom patch to 1.19 and posted it on the Arx Fatails forums. Its just a zip file with the files that changed from 1.18 to 1.19. Seems to work fine so far for me, but I didnt really check it out much.

There's a fucking torrent floating around with GOG's version in it.
Just pirate the damn thing, UK_John; it's even been dedicated to you!

I don't normally reply to anonymous posters, but as a GAMER, NOT Arkane or GOG has made the 1.19 patch available through reverse engineering (on Arkane's forums), I would say all my posts have been shown to be even more correct!
