Hi, I'm just starting out with Arx it seems to play great for the very first level where you escape from the jail, but after I drop down the grating to level 3 the screen is just black. I can access my inventory, and hear sound and according to the minimap, move around (only horizontally).

Just thought I'd update that I decided to give it another chance today, did a complete redownload and reinstall of everything, plus running as admin as you say. Not sure what specifically was the key but it seems to be working fine now.

I wonder if installing to your My Documents folder would fix permission isues and let you play it without using an admin acct or typing runas.
