OK... what is the secret to jumping from platform to platform in the Lava Room on Level 8?
The platforms don't line up and I can't get to the other side and there is no use of magic so "leviatate" is useless! Am I missing a lever or other hidden buttons that raise the platforms so jumping in possible?

i actually passed that, killed the beast , went everywhere or so in lvl 8, im just stuck there
( u cant kill beast with weapon or magic )
ive read a bit of the walkthrouh and it seems that lvl 8 is the deeper that u can go in....
but as i was saying im just stuck there and cant bo back. I went to 1 to 8 very fast, without doing my quests, and i was killing all the NPC that wanted to give me some. but now im just stuck at lvl 8 :P
i think im gonna make another char and try to quest more

You're not missing anything. That part is just frustrating. A lot of quicksave and quickload. Walk out to the edge of the platform, to the part that's nearest the one you're trying to jump to. Get as close to the edge as you can, while still being able to jump. Look at your target platform, and aim at the edge farthest from you. Jump. There's no advantage in running up to it, so just make a standing jump from the edge.
This post on the JoWood forums has a screenshot that may help. It shows which platform you should jump to next.
Sounds like you missed a key somewhere. It's in one of the dwarves' bunks (Rooms 17, 18, 19, and 29 on this map). It unlocks a door that will take you back to the entrance of level 8.

ZamFear, yes theres only 1 door that i cant open, so some key must be just somewhere :) haha
good game tho but i hope that i find that key cuz i hate that place LOL :P
i think i missed a lot of the game content.... i havent saw the Arx town or the temple and i havent killed any bosses yet and im in lvl 8, WTF lol :P
