OK I have the main game installed and am trying to install the Libertatis mod.

How do I install it ?

Tried dragging and dropping the folder and or files but get close folder first error messages.

ED|IT: OK sorted, sorry for being stupid, just not think right this morning.

Why don't you tell us how you sorted it out instead of leaving like that?
Wait, I have a question about this too. I went to download it and the download site read:

If you installed the game from Steam or GOG, the 1.21 patch is already included when you download the game and you don't need to manually apply it. I downloaded it from GOG.

So is Arx Liberatis already included?

No, that is referring to the fact that GOG's version is already patched to 1.21. All you need to do is double click the downloaded Libertatis exe, and it should self install, and you'll be good to go. Just to be safe, if you have space on your hard drive, I would save a copy of the installed game separately in another spot, until you are satisfied all went well and the game is up and running. I always try to do that anytime I install mod(s) myself. IIRC, this one installed no problem, but everyone has a differnt computer and system, so I always say better safe than sorry. (This mod is awesome btw)

There's no Arx Libertatis mod exe file in the GOG version.

Correct. That's exactly what the text that you've quoted says.

If you have download Libertatis, you do not have to updated the game to version 1.21 before you can run Libertatis.exe.

I don't follow you. Gog don't provide the LIbartis mod in their installers.

Yes, no one said that they did. You have to download Libertatis from its homepage, but you don't have to install the 1.21 update manually to use it.

Edit: That's what the Liberatis wiki says, too:

Ok but why isn't it necessary to install the update? Does the libartis mod find the gog install by default?

1.21 is the last official update and it's included in the Steam and GOG version. I don't know if the Libertatis installer can automatically find the installation folder or if you have to manually select it – I've only used the Linux version. ;-)
Hi guys, I'm normally a console player and I feel really sheepish about installing mods or getting into back-end stuff like modifying files etc. I feel like I always follow the instructions and then somehow it breaks my install and I can't figure out how to undo what I've done. In short, I'm hopeless with this kind of stuff.

When I went to the Liberatis page linked here I clicked to download the windows installer but it got flagged with lots of scary language that suggested it was dangerous to download. Is that normal? Did you guys see something like that too?

Is there some trusted source I can go to for this? Is my computer just having an auto immune freak out? s there some way I can confirm that this file doesn't contain some sort of virus?

Computer guys, please help me! I really wanna play this game because I love the atmosphere and setting, but I really struggle with the controls, so would love to have this mod since I was told it fixes a lot of that.

Well, this game is so small it doesn't matter if you bugger something up by modding it right? Just reinstall.

Anyways, yes, many of us gettinf the trojan warnings. I followed up with malware advice/solutions and found that the Win32/Uwamson.A!ml is not found in Win10 registry, so perhaps it is safe to d/L install Libertatus. It is up to you. It is required, and does a fabulous job of making the game playable.

If yu do d/L it, just double click on the .exe and follow directions to install to the game root drive. DO NOT have Arx installed in your C drive programs folders though....
