evilstormer: Ubuntu 20.04.2, tried both 1.2.0a and 1.2.0b.
Didn't tinker much, created symlinks to the system libudev.so where the game expects them to be (art of rally/game/artofrally_Data/Mono/), at least these errors went away. The error "GetInt error:The method or operation is not implemented. HAS_PLAYED_INTRODUCTION" persists.

thmtc: 1.2.0b and 1.2.0c game. Debian Buster / 10.
It seems this a genuine issue with the game, regardless of which distro one uses. Yesterday I've also tried the game under a live Ubuntu 21.04 too and got the same result.

Thanks for the feedback, I guess at this point I can stop brainstorming on how to force the game to work hehe.

It's updated now and it works. And it looks like we have online leaderboards. You need to accept the privacy policy.

FYI: gog offline installer version is 1.2.0c2 and file name is art_of_rally_1_2_0c_48200.sh.

EDIT: Looks like there's a bug with time attack where you are unable to finish the stage, so I've reported that. And we'll just have to wait some more.

Does this occur on a specific level and if so which? I tried time attack (Finland - Noormarkku stage) and worked fine.

Interesting. I tried noormarkku with the max attack (group a). Crossing the finish line just shows the cutscene in slow motion, but the post-finish menu never shows up. I have to ALT+F4.

Same happens with the umibozu (group s) in san gavino monreale.

2. Restart the game.
3. Once the game has loaded again, see if the online leaderboards in time attack are available.
4. If yes, try to finish the stages mentioned above.

Same issue in carrier mode, only mode that works is free roaming.

By activating the leaderboards I was able to replicate the issue on any map I tried.

It seems like the game breaks if the online leaderboards are activated. After disabling them again, I was able to finish the race without issues.

As a reminder the leaderboards are read-only for GOG Linux - this is because we have no Platform ID to associate with your scores to upload with. Hopefully GOG decides to support Linux with Galaxy in the future and we can re-assess!
Happy to inform 1.2.0d resoves the online leaderboards issue in my case. Even if they are read-only, it's nice to see statistically how actually bad I am lol.
