Thank you, this worked! My game kept going to black screen in multiplayer until I ran this fix. Yay!
Keep in mind GOG preset some compatibilities, most of them as sdb batch file installed by DISMM service during installation (and created by Ms ACT tool). It is stored same as exe retular checkboxes in 3 registry secrions somewhere near regular compatibility flags. And in one of Windows system subfolder (one of first folder inside WINDOWS, dont remember which one).

Any 3rd party solutions require disabling all of them. Or their instructions tell to disable all of them. For me looks no issues keep Disable Fullscreen optimisation and DisableThemes/DWM/Aero. Shouldn't be i suppose any issues in set DPI scaling by app in exe properties.

Idk what included one batch file do, did it really remove sdb ones compatibilities. They ade definitely need to be set off and since they are stored in few entries and folders some misatkes here possible. I just suggest double-check it after executing.

There is App Compatibility Checker tool by Verok that can show all flags for chosen exe (admin run required) and disable retular ones in one click. Sdb ones remain. Verok himself for his fixes and wrappers(-mod's)(*) suggest renaming GOGs exes to something like game2.exe.
(* unrelated ones: Freespace, LOK Blood omen, some NFS's, Heroes 1-4, Disciples, some Tycoon's - but tool itself are ror general unified use).
