Hey phlatline,

I'm not sure where you got this information from but we've publicly announced that both PS4 and DRM free are getting v1.1 updates mid-November.

I actually just found that posting (for anyone else looking http://leagueofgeeks.com/forums/index.php?topic=1905.msg14781#msg14781 )

Sorry, I saw user posting on the Armello forums and the subreddit that said no updates but I see I was wrong.

I'm editing my post above.
Well well well, mid-november it is. :p

Yes and we've just received the update too :P
So we just have to wait 2-3 weeks for you to test and release the patch. :p

Actually the patch went live after my post :) Check your account, please, if you use our offline installers or just let Galaxy update the game for you :)

Hey xasalja!

Our development cycle goes a little something like this! We get a build feature ready and test in through our in-house QA as well as our small beta testing community. Once we're happy with the build we push it live through Steam. Here we turn around hotfixes to patch out bugs that the bigger Steam community come across and once that build is nice and stable we publish to DRM free and PlayStation after implementing any platform specific features/fixes.

GOG should be receiving a really stable build that we've stress tested and polished off. League of Geeks is a small team, so this development style means we can dedicate time to each platform, rather than rushing into all of them at the same time.

Hope you understand!

So basically even though gog and playstation have the same version only playstation gets to have matchmaking and the gog version is screwed because we can't even room code a multiplayer game with the steam version our friends may have due to possible version mismatches that come from you using steam as a beta testing environment?
VS AI is all we get then? Will you remedy this by maybe providing matchmaking some day? Will there at least be harder or more varied AI games? Anything?

I am this close to getting a refund for the first time because I was not informed that this was essentially the "no multiplayer" version of a game that is basically made for multiplayer and assumed this would be on par with other game versions nor do I see any plans of you when to fix or address this in which timeframe.

I know this thread is pretty much abandoned. Just wondering if this is still the current state of the game?
I've been avoiding buying newer indie games on Gog for the reason of lacking patches and features. And now with the current sale I'm curious to know if it's still the case.

As far as I can tell the game is pretty much boring without other people to play with, and if Gog players can only play with other Gog players they know and not with anyone who got the Steam version that'd be pretty much a no-deal for me.
Adding my request for clarification on the "cross-platform" multiplayer codes potentially not working due to version mismatch. Doesn't sound like we need to get our torches and pitchforks yet (depending on the update schedule, anyway) but it's a valid issue.

** Okay, five more minutes of research and now I understand how it works. GOG's version of Armello has "room codes" for multiplayer rather than matchmaking. This means you create the room and generate a room code, then pass that out to everyone you want to play with. Or, you obtain a room code and enter it to join someone else's MP session.

I haven't been able to find out for sure if this means we can't play with Steam players, but I assume that we can't.

Update to version 1.1.1 please...
1.1.1 came out on steam dec 9th if I am reading it right and you even had an event around the end of dec for the winter dice thing you had. I am loving the art style and music of this and believe it will be very fun to play with friends. But currently I am unable to play with all my friends who have it on steam because this game went on sale more on gog than it did steam. I am currently very disappointed that not only am I unable to play with my friends on steam but this one still hasn't gotten the 1.1.1 update and I still can't play with them.

Will I ever beable to play with my friends who own the steam version or am I screwed out and don't get the updates they are getting?
Hey all!

To clarify, v1.1.1 was a small update that primarily applied to content relevant to Steam. Any bug fixes that were applied in this patch will carry over into v1.2 which is not too far away.

Also the DRM free version does not connect with the Steam version, as Steam has a bunch of multiplayer support that is utilized and is inherently not DRM free. Let me know if you'd like any clarification!

Cheers,

So I take it I am screwed out of playing with my friends which is the main reason why I bought this. I wanted to play with them but they had steam and it was out of my budget till the gog sale of it. I am disappointed that I can not play this for the sole reason I bought it. I am disappointed that others HAVE cross platform play such as divinity by allowing both steam and gog having a lan function. But as it is right now, I can not play with them and they me. I am currently considering this purchase a waste and a disappointment. If it wasn't for the fact it is out of the refund period I would have demanded my money back.
