I already wrote a review, but a recent sale had me come back to check out the updates.

Anyone who isn't a dev reading this will be wondering what I'm talking about. That's because there was no update on the GoG version. This is covered in another thread, but basically GoG and PS4 get the stable release, which is one update behind the Steam release. That would be fine if it were stated anywhere on the store page that you would receive the stable release version versus the latest.

More egregious than the misrepresentation of which level of a finished product you are actually purchasing (is it worse that Steam beta tests for the GoG version or that the GoG version will always be behind in updates on the Steam version) is the lack of public matchmaking.

Public matchmaking is available on the Steam version. It is not available on GoG. This is not stated on the store page.

Those are two really, really major features missing mention on the store page. Not only are those missing from the marketing, but the price is the same. That's ridiculous. Who does that? I guess Enron did when they were lying to investors to keep them from jumping boat. But that's a slightly different situation. Similar, though. I mean, you're essentially charging full price for an unfinished game.

Went on a bit of a rant there. Anyway, the point is, update your store page. Inform the public. Don't be a dick.
While "stable vs newest update" isn't an issue for me, no matchmaking is indeed a problem. I've contacted the devs through fb and they've confirmed there won't be any DRM-free matchmaking services. There is a matchmaking service for GOG - for Witcher AG, it even works for Steam-GOG matches. But I doubt it'll be possible to implement it in "Armello". For me it means buying the game on Steam, playing it there - and being more careful in the future with GOG games with a multiplayer component.

Which this sucks more now since their doing reward system for playing the public matchgames. GoG users won't be getting shit it seems. I bought this cause abunch of my friends already own it and I thought like other multiplayer games thats on gog it will have a method to play like Lan or something because GoG has before been the only time this game was on sale, I regret my purchase everyday now.
