The first Operation Flashpoint had two expansions: Red Hammer and Resistance. In the game description you specify that the game comes with an expansion, but which one is it? Also, are there any chances of seeing both expansions on GOG?

(quote from the description) "ArmA: Cold War Assault includes Bohemia Interactive's debut game published by Codemasters as Operation Flashpoint in 2001 (and its expansion)."

PS: I suggest you remove the reviews from back when it was Operation Flashpoint since, from what I saw, some of them talk about GOTY edition (with 2 expansions) and apparently this version has only one. It might get confusing and/or annoying for some people.

It's Resistance. Wish it was Red Hammer; any opportunity to play as the Soviets is cool in my book.
Apparently Bohemia Interactive (the original developer of Operation Flashpoint + Resistance, and Arma series) has no rights on Red Hammer, the missing expansion. It was done by Codemasters (and of a lesser quality according to some posts). So BI couldn't include it.

This thread on Steam explains why, and how to get RH campaign files to work in this edition if you still have a copy of this expansion somewhere:

There's almost no chance to get Red Hammer back on GoG in this case.
Old reviews should be removed indeed.

RH expansion was not major and was't by us thus it's not included in the A:CWA

You can still use it from Your old copy by transfering of it's two .pbo fles to new install
I can definitely confirm that Red Hammer was unpolished as hell.

It had a few fun moments (defending a village from an American armored assault), but pretty much managed to take everything that made OFP "bad" (VERY long and hellish sequences of running through fields with enemies in forests in between checkpoints) and lost a lot of what made OFP amazing.
Red Hammer isn't a real addon but a campaign, it came together with the so called "Gold Upgrade" which was essentially a patch (1.3) with 10 new units and some new weapons. As far as I remember the patch itself was free and wove in the new units into the original campaign, but you were able to buy the GU+RH together on a retail CD, like I did. However I don't recall Red Hammer to feature those new units (correct me) and overall it wasn't very enjoyable to play... so you don't miss very much and furthermore there are literally thousands of free and very well made addons, mods, units, weapons, maps and missions out there. This is actually what made this game so great and successfull and what codemasters totaly f*cked up in the two (name)sequels! Ah yeah and I guess this version here includes the gold upgrade, since it's part of the patch history.
The ECP redux mod has the Red Hammer campaign included in the 1.2 patch now, so you're not missing out on anything now.

Thanks to taczillabr for mentioning this mod in another thread.
Red Hammer campaign turned you into traitor at the end. But there is really good campaign that show red side of the Operation Flashpoint portraying Guba as a good general (just like in Tie Fighter Vader and Palpatine were protectors of peace and order). This time you don't feel like you are on the wrong team - you will give your life for motherland!
Campaign is available for download here.

That was really good campaign. I try the link provided in the readme.txt to get latest update but it seems the link now dead. Is there any good add-on campaign like Retaliation?

Hey AnonAnom, glad you liked the mod. I didn't know it now includes the Red Hammer SP campaign, it may be illegal for them to do that...

Anyways, the site has moved to http://www.ecpredux.com/

It's a good pack if you are new to the game, it installs ecp and a lot of stuff from just one .exe.
