Well I would just delete this since the solution was so ridiculous, but I figured I won't in case anyone else has an issue with it. Many games require you to run them as an administrator in Win 10, so I automatically run as admin. It really makes UAC worthless, but hey it's Windows. The ARMA series, to include ARMA 2 DRM free direct form Bohemia Interactive (if you were able to get it before they stopped selling it directly) will be blocked by UAC if you run them as an admin. This annoyed me for a long time until I was messing with it again tonight.
Hopefully this may help someone else having this issue.

Hello all,
I had this issue with ARMA 2 and figured it was just because the DRM free version isn't supported anymore, but now I'm getting it with the most recent version of ARMA CWA from GOG. When I try to run the game from the exe, not from galaxy, it gives me an error that I don't have permission to run it.
For ARMA 2 I found this complicated way of running it from an elevated level command prompt, but it works without a problem from galaxy, so there must be an easier fix.
If anyone has any info I'd greatly appreciate it!
