I've just bought and Downloaded Arma 2 and installed the DayZ Mod. Upon trying to join a multiplayer server for the first time I was presented with the "Global Ban #a796" message.

Now bear in mind - I have literally just installed the game, the only things that I have downloaded are the Game, the Patch and the Mod files for DayZ.
I have never hacked in any game supported by Battle Eye or any other security software, 3rd party or otherwise.
I have never, ever played this game before in my life.

Is there anyone else here who has been Banned for no reason or simply never been able to join a server in the first place? Is there anyone who knows about these global bans being overturned? I have sent a message to Battle Eye support already but based on similar forums posts I have seen so far, they never send out a response.
Has anyone EVER heard back from them?

Did you apply the CD key registry patch provided by GOG?

I have the same thing happening. I mistakenly did not enter in my code, but did after the fact and have a battle eye ban. Please help
