Alright so I gifted my friend ArmA 2 combined Operations so we could play DayZ together. This is my first Gog purchase.

I gifted him the game and he was installing everything last night and we've run into some issues. The first one being when he joined into a server it gave him an error about dta/bin/pbo so I googled around about this and found that his error had 2 slashes in it and it was a registry error, well there wasn't 2 slashes in the path but a slash at the end when there shouldn't be. We deleted the slash and it still wouldn't work. So I'm thinking just reinstalling the game might help..

Now we have another problem with him installing the game. The Gog downloader isn't recognizing that the game is uninstalled and is saying it's still installed. He's deleted all the registries, all files, restarted his computer and everything. Even uninstalled the gog downloader and reinstaled it. We're not sure what else to do.

Bump
i read somewhere to delete all trailing slashes in entries called MAIN, in the registry under the GOG and Bohemia directories, but I found that was not enough, so I deleted all trailing / in directory listings in those two or three places in the registry and then I worked.
