ArmA works well on Wine. So far I have tested it on my Mint 8 with Nvidia 173 driver (for a Geforce fx 5200 graphics card) on Wine 1.1.31, 1.2.2 and 1.3.something and it runs fine on all of them. The only problem is it doesn't seem to like trees and bushes (slowing down when around them). I don't know if this is to do with my graphics card, driver, Wine or other.

I'll try to test it on my other hard drive (with Arch installed which should have more up-to-date drivers etc.) when I have time. I'll keep you posted.

Hey man, i know its kinda digging up an old post but i'd just like to add ArmA cold war assault runs fine under wine version 1.3.36 and nvidia graphics driver 290.10. installed it with the wine front end Vineyard and it runs like a dream! hope this helps some one, good day.
