korell: But did you rip them to the INDEX values on GOG's CUEsheet or the INDEX values that arendvr.com provided? If his CUEsheet worked for you then so must the ripped music files as the game still calls the same audio track regardless of which CUEsheet method is used.

To me it looks like everything still points to bad INDEX values in the GOG CUEsheet file.

M-u-ddy: Even when the ogg files are ripped from the fixed disc, the first track won't work. No idea how this is possible.
Indeed, that is weird, as the ripped OGGs would have a 0 index (track starts at the start of the OGG file). No idea then. My non-GOG version doesn't have this issue, and I created my own CUEsheet file back then based on how GOG were doing CD audio in DOS games back then.
I just sent the details of the issue to gog team. Hopefully they will fix it soon.

[EDIT] The issue with the missing track is now solved, thanks to GOG Crew!
I just downloaded the latest install and played the game, ALT+1 works fine!

Thank you GOG!

I did not even notice that the first song did not play until I read this thread and tried to ALT-1 it myself. I still had version 2.0.0.3 from GOG installed and I’m now downloading 2.0.04.
Thankyou!
