I have been playing as a halfling, on a whm I started a new characrer. This time a human female. with my halfling I had gained 2 levels before leaving the crash site. The human, she is still level one I am almonst done with the ghost's quest. does XP chane based on race/sex? Or, is it cause she does not do a lot of daamge at the moment, I made her a Debutante and she has no melee or fighting skills atm?

If you aren't doing that much damage yourself Virgil is probably doing more of the damage, and so your character is only getting the XP when you do hit enemies, and Virgil kills the enemy -- unlike with your previous character when you were probably hitting a lot (and getting XP) and getting the kill XP.
well that stinks, also another issue, during the battle with the guy to get the artifact for the guy whose family was murdered and he cursed the ghost. My dress, broke, seems silly but a, I cannot repair it so I am running around in the first town, naked. i cannot find someone to repair it noir another dress to buy. And if one more person asks if my mum knows I am out like that i am giong to go loco on the towns folks.

Glad to help! And I'm glad you found another dress. Female characters can wear non dresses as well (though not the suit options), just for the future. If you Defend the bank in Shrouded Hills the clothes you get there can be worn by a female character, for example.
In-game, clothing is treated like armor: it has hit points and takes damage from critical hits and misses, as well as fire-based spells and traps. Dresses IIRC start with 30 HP, which means a maximum of three such hits. Blacksmiths, and yourself with sufficient expertise, can repair damaged clothing; but only a Repair master can fix it once it's broken (reduced to 0).

Next time you play as a woman, at the start of the game upgrade to the fancy dress: it provides a +20 boost to reaction (the equivalent of +4 beauty, same as a man's smoking jacket). Take extra-good care of it, however; unlike the smoking jacket (which is available from city tailors) you won't find another one like it until very late in the game.

Fancy dresses can be bought from regular tailors, they're just rare. The one that's found late in the game is a unique item. And there's another dress, "found" early, that is worn by the owner and has to be stolen from her (living) body with a Fate point.
The fancy dress with the reation is the one that broke. I really love how people react in this games, especially if you are ugly and not human. Triple A games are afraid to do stuff like this anymore.
