ChaunceyK: I haven't actually been quested to find it, but I'm in Black Root & I want to go there anyway. I've wandered all around & can't find it. Where is it in relation to the train station?
It's behind the train station. Walk out of the station building, over the tracks and down to the water. There's a small path through some shallow water, which is walkable. That path will take you to the thieves' camp.
If you're like me, you thought you were supposed to follow the tracks down past the train and in among the trees. You're not. That's a complete de-tour.
