Greetings to all Arcanum Fans

I am at Level 42, I've been at T'sen Ang, and now I am in search for information on Nasrudin. I wish to gather a good team to prepare for the battles to come. I have my trustworthy Virgil. My silly drunkard ogre Sogg. A adorable Mutt. Sorrowful Dante. My trusty battering ram Chukka. And my beloved archer Raven.

And on my mind was to hire the infamous and renowned adventurer Franklin Payne. It is said that this mighty adventurer will appear in his house, in Black Root. But it appears that he is absent. Must certain time pass for him to arrive, or did I deviate from a certain path?

Thank you kind sir's and ma'am s

He does appear in his house in Black Root, but he appears very late. I think you can only get him when you're ready to go to Nasrudin's final resting place (someone will correct me if I'm wrong; it's been a long time since I used him).

I won't mention where that place is exactly, in case you haven't gotten quite that far yet. If you have gotten that far, you'll know what I'm talking about.

Most players ignore him because he shows up so late, but if you want to give it a try he is one of the fully-voiced NPC party members. This may or may not be a good thing, depending on how you like his personality. I like him.

Quite an interesting fellow. I believe Borderlands have had an inspiration from Franklin Payne.
It could be late in the game. But I still need to gather 50000 $ to buy a ship. Several dungeons and quests will add a couple hours.

Thank you

No you don't.

Have a drink in one of the port city bars. You may just run into an old friend with an interesting story to share.
