I'm having weird issues with my graphics. Party members portraits flicker and show other party members. For example, Sogg Mead Mugg will show up as Virgil, and Jayna Stiles will appear ass Sogg or Virgil. These occurrences are seemingly random.
My mouse pointer often shows up as a square as if I were to draw a box around my mouse. It either shows random bits of background or weird lines.
When dealing with inventory, sometimes when moving items around, it shows that there is much more selected than there actually is. For example, if I select a healing potion (1 square) 4,5, or even 6 squares (along with items in them) show as being moved, but of course only the healing potion has been.
These aren't a big deal, but they are annoying and I'd like to fix them if possible. I'm running the UAP, high quality maps and music, and the wide screen mod.
Also, absolutely all of my saves have disappeared, anyone know what's up?

Look at this thread as adding the -no3d and -doublebuffer switches usually fixes graphics and mouse problems.
Edit: There is an image further down in the post which shows where to add the switches . . . =)

Thanks, I was having some bad interface lag and this completely fixed it.

You're welcome . . . =)
Edit : Also helps to make sure the game shortcut compatibility tab has "Run this program as an administrator" checked.

There is one thing I was wondering, does the 3d hardware support actually add anything to the game, it seems to look identical with -no3d parameter. Maybe I haven't gotten far enough to notice any fancy particle effects or the like..

-no3d is a command line argument for running the game in safe mode (software acceleration). With hardware acceleration disabled some memory leaks seem to be stopped
It doesn't improve or add but only causes the game to use software rendering which works better on some (most) systems . . . =)
