Anyone else devestated that the soundtrack isn't a GOG extra?

Not complaining - I love the other extras and it's an awesome game - it's just that the music is so beautiful!
It is too bad, especially since you can download the soundtrack (in high quality format) for free at Terra Arcanum.

haha, I've never been called a legend before. But I'll take it. :)

You're welcome. I remember when I first heard about this I was so excited as well. It is nice to sometimes listen to the soundtrack on my ipod.
Also awesome, perhaps even glorious, because of the effort which went into this soundtrack. It grows on me.
+1s for SheBear for sharing the link.
You don't have to download it from 3rd party sites, the music is right in the game's folder in .mp3 format.

Where installed to: Arcanum/modules/Arcanum/sound/music

True if you're wary about downloading something. Though the download on Terra Arcanum is actually in a higher equality format (WAV not MP3) if you care about that sort of thing (I don't think I can actually generally hear a difference, but I have friends who can). The files on Terra Arcanum were released by a Troika dev some years ago I think because so many people were asking for the soundtrack.
It was in the folder when the game was first released too, I use to listen to it then sometimes.

The "high quality" is only a personal preference. Some people enjoy the original they played with over re-masters or new versions, and so forth. Like some people that played games back in the day with the "bad" sound cards, want to replay those games today with the same bad sound card they had, instead of using the better one, even though they can now. It's special because of childhood memories, and other things.

Like me, I bought Arcanum(well, my daddy did) the very first day it came out, so I have more love for the original music than anything that would be put out since. Great music though, however someone listens to it.
