Hello - I just bought the game and am running it on Windows 8. I've loaded the three mods listed in the "essential" mods sticky but my problems were from prior to loading the mods. I've tried both "-no3d" and "-doublebuffer" (without "") but game still runs slow. I've checked video drivers and mouse drivers are up to date.

Despite all this, the game seems to run slow: especially movement across an area. Running looks like it is in slow motion and seems to get worse the longer I play the game. Was looking forward to playing but gets boring waiting for my half-orc to cross the screen.

Can anyone help? Thx

Since you mention Win8, it may be the same lag problem others among us have had.

There doesn't seem to be a definitive solution that's known to work for everyone. If those threads don't produce a solution, try asking Support about it.

Getting rid of ddraw and running in a window seems to have helped - thx!
