I've seen this problem on a few threads here, but they were "solved" so I have to make a new thread for my purpose. I apologize in advance if this feels repetitious or necroing.
My problem is that when applying the Hi Res mod, I always end up with an iddy-biddy little screen surrounded by black. I've seen this withe several settings input during installation, from 1290x1080 (my native resolution) even down to 1080x790.
Is there a particular resolution needed to increase the image to it's full size, i.e. full top to bottom. I know that the edges will always be in marquee, since the graphics were designed for the old monitors which generally only displayed the same square as old CRTVs.
