Hey guys, got a few more :)

1a. Does Azram's Star have a hidden Critical Hit chance bonus that is not in the weapon description?
1b. Does this Critical Hit chance increases with increased Magic Aptitude?

2. Does the Critical Hit chance bonus from Backstab Mastery universally applies to all throwing weapons, firearm weapons and bows even when not doing a proper backstab?
Or it only applies when you are doing a proper backstab when standing behind the enemy and holding the appropriate melee weapon?

1. Nope

2. There isn't much info on how backstab training works, I'm afraid. It's entirely possible the mastery does nothing at all, but I would hope not. The skill itself adds 1 damage per skill in backstab to a backstab attack on an unaware opponent, up to the cap of 100 when it's maxed out. I don't even know what the formula is for an aware opponent.

These are pretty bizarre questions though, so why do you ask? What would make you think backstab mastery affects unbackstabable weapons? Or there's a hidden crit bonus on Azram's? Are you getting excessive crits while using it from behind enemies on your playthrough?

1a) According to the official strategy guide — but not found in the item's in-game description — Azram's Star has up to an additional +50% bonus to its critical hit chance with each strike.

1b) The ability is marked with an asterisk, which indicates that yes, this does scale with the player's MA. As does its damage bonus, up to +20.

Note that as a throwing weapon, Azram's Star does NOT get any of the player's strength bonuses to damage. If you focus on Throwing instead of Melee, there's no need to max out ST; you just need enough to offset your PC's encumbrance.
Thanks guys.

@ ewmarch
I noticed more Criticals when using the Star, so I found it unusual.

What do you think about my question related to Critical Hit chance bonus from Backstab Mastery?

I'd defer to ewmarch on this one. He's experimented with actually modding the game, whereas all I have is a book I bought off of Amazon over a decade ago. If he says there's no way to tell from looking at the code, I believe him.
