Hello all,

The manual says:

Spacebar closes any interfaces/switches between turn-based/real-time combat

But it only does switches the combat. Anyone got any advice on how to close interface windows quickly? I dont want to use the mouse to click.

Thanks!
You can use the hotkeys. I for inventory, C for Character and the other ones I forget.
I know about the hotkeys but i want to lazily just press the one button :D I had hoped the spacebar would work since thats in the manual. Oh well :(
I hear the manual was written a while before the game was finished, so they must have rremoved that function for some reason. Maybe because the game doesn't pause in the menus so they wanted you to still be able to switch combat modes?
Does the ESC key work? That's used to close menus in a lot of other games. I can't remember if it works for Arcanum though.
Nope, ESC just opens the pause menu.
I usually just click the little Picture-in-Picture window on the Character screen or others to get back to the game.

As Gazoinks said, pressing the keyboard shortcut for the particular window you're in should get rid of that window as well.

Eg if you're in Character screen, press C to return.
If in Logbook, press L.

Or just doubletap C to bring up Char screen then quickly get rid of it again.

I usually just doubletap C as well, because I always forget L is logbook (I always think J for Journal) and I don't know what Map is, apparently not M. Didn't know you could click on the litle Playervision(tm) thingy as well.
If I remember well, you should click W to display map (W like World ;)).
