I can't catch the train out of black root to Ashbury as there is no one in the ticket office to buy a ticket from. Earlier in the game there was a lady there but now she's gone. I've tried leaving the town, returning, etc. No luck. I've tried all times of the day. Basically I'm stuck!

Not sure what is causing the problem but you can alway walk / travel the wold map. Head to Tarant and see if you can catch a train there.

Thanks Lou - its Ok now - she turned up finally for some reason. Maybe its a simulation of the dilemmas of public transport!

I believe you can only catch a train during daylight hours. The ticket office is closed at night like the shops, isn't it?
