Just finished the game and, as a part of a ancient tradition, I would like to "save my save games". I've found, in AquaNox\dat\sav\ a file called player_start.des that seems to have information about the ship and equipment I was carrying, but nothing about the story progress.
I've tried to move it, but the game still had the save slot where the final mision of the campaing was, so that file is not the savegame file. Any ideas?

Small edit: It seems it's in C:\Documents and Settings\<My User>\Application Data\AquaNox
There's even a file called "player_autosave.des"... if I move the folder it does not remember the graphical configuration and when I try to start a campaign it asks me for a CD-Key, huh
Do I have hit the bullseye?

It's usual Vista / Win7 behaviour when you have UAC enabled and installed the game to the default location.

To avoid the issue either:
- run the game as an administrator every time
- disable User Account Control
- install the game outside Program Files folder.

^ That is true for (almost) every game here.
what?

I'm asking for the location of the game's savegame folder, and I'm running Win XP. I'm not talking about any behaviour or issue, it's just I wanna find the folder.

I'm sorry. It was 2 AM and I was in automated mode.
You're right, Aquanox stores user saves and settings under Application Data.

Sorry again.
No problem ;) Thanks!
