Really, I have tried, but I just don't get this.

I figured out that I can sort of steer by using a combination of roll (mouse-x) and pith (mouse-y) and then use A and D as a 'cheat' to yaw left and right. Is this sort of how I'm supposed to navigate?

ROLL CORRECTION: I guess I should set it to zero if I want a no-gravity space environment. Set to max if I want down to be down.

YAW INTENSITY: "how much effect the side rudders have during a roll" is this something that should make some kind of sense to me?

HORIZONTAL MOVEMENT: Strafe or Jaw ... What am I supposed to select here? These settings kind of frustrates me - it's a bit like the designers dumps some basic design decisions on the player.

Is 'simulation mode' more realistic that shooter mode? Or is it just what people who likes space sims are used to?

Space sims take place outside the earths gravity field.
Aquanox 2 takes place inside the earths gravity field. Does space sim navigation even make sense here?
