.. Come with this a result. An excellent mix of western, futuristic, underwater sci-fi; Aquanox has perfect gameplay for its time, and perfect narrative.
I played this a long time ago as a gift from a friend who got this as a freebie for buying his video card. It quickly became the game of the season. The game is pretty straight forward: Man walks into a hub town, looks for a job, does enough jobs and skips to the next hub town. It starts with the main character, giving you a quick intro into the world, with a voice so good, it sounds as if he is reading Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea through the radio. Soon, Intermission videos like this got you immersed, as you blast your way through what starts as a war between the remnants of human civilization, and ends up as a fight for humanity to earn its place in the depths of the sea.
I eagerly await to see the sequel of this on GOG
