Does anyone know if the game keeps some sort of record for civilians you kill and/or you get punished for doing so? When fighting soldiers in the streets it is quite easy to kill civilians by mistake which can lead to a lot of annoying reloading if you want to spare them. Is it worth the bother or not?

You are not punished for killing civilians, on the contrary they might even drop money. :P

I think the guards will attack you if you attack a civilian when they can see you, just kill the guards as well.
