Hi, i need fast help. I play as mage, and i dont know where the hell are magic altars. Do you know where i can find one? I am in really need of mana, and i have many of those ivory void half's.
They're called Mana Altars, and there should be one in each location. The trouble is, you'll quickly run out of items to use on the altar, and spells consume a lot of mana. I recommend you start over as a melee character, that way the game is much less frustrating, what with its excruciatingly slow regeneration rate and lack of replenishment items. Unfortunately, AoD maps are really hard to find on the Internet, but you could try consulting a walthrough to get a general idea where the altars are.
I already started as mage, and i have 6h on record with him so i wont start again, ech too bad, i found only altars, 0 mana altars.
Melee fighters have an advantage in this game because you don't spend any resources for swinging a weapon. Even if you did find a Mana Altar, running back to it every now and then would quickly grow tedious. I suppose that, if you don't want to start over and if you feel comfortable with hex editors, this page will be of use:

You can hex-edit your savegame to adjust your stats to suit a fighter, then switch to weapons in the game. I've used hex editing in this game for teleporting; it's pretty safe.
ok thankes for help
Unfortunately magic is poorly done in this game, though something to keep in mind if you need mana is you can leave the game running with your character in a safe place and their mana will regen. This is especially easy if you play in a window because then you can just mute the game and minimise the window while you do something else, come back in a while and they would have regenerated some or all of their mana.
Some other disadvantages of magic:

- long casting times: at first it looks cool, but you get tired of it when all you're seeing is a finger drawing magical symbols;
- low overall damage: only high-level spells that you get late in the game are worthwhile; a single damage spell hardly does more damage than a good sword swing, and costs precious mana;
- not good for beginners since you don't yet know which spells to pick and where to find more useful spells.
