I read the manual and it states that experience is equal to the damage done to enemies, either with weapons for physical combat or spells for magic.
Here's the thing though, I mostly use utility spells, buffs and heals (well... the one).
Can I get Experience from any of these somehow?
I don't have a high power rating, because I read about the magic potions that increase your spell points and can be save-scammed and the list of spells lists the ones I think I will use with less than 200 each.
The Character I chose is the green one, since he looks the most like a Dragon/Reptile. He's got 3 Power, which is quite descent IMO, but doesn't provide much regen, so offensive spells would be extremely unwieldy.
Also, since enemies don't respawn at all, I don't want to waste them to upgrade magic, because I already need a lot of experience to max out slashing (for the 2d20 sword) and piercing (for the spear that does 4d40 when thrown)
But I also want to at least Level up Water (magical reflect) and Void (physical reflect).
If possible, I would like to grind non-violent for Flesh (heal), Wood (Defense up), Wind (hovering to avoid traps) and Lightning (I like throwing lightning)
EDIT:
I have experimented, and I can confirm that, if nothing else, at least the Healing spells give XP from just being cast.
So don't waste enemy damage on upgrading magic.
