I'm sorry for this extremely dumb question, but how do I get out of the ship? All the walkthroughs just tell me to "exit the ship" after getting all the clues from the demon, but how? I'm slowly going insane running in circles and looking for the way out. I think I just forgot something important, as I recently picked this game up again after not playing for many months.

I don't remember having any problems with it. There are no quest items to pick up; your only goal is to talk to the demon. Can you exit the same way you first entered the Sunken Galley? It's on the main level, with the big "hall" with all the pillars. If so, go back to the Undersea Maze and look for another exit, it should be in the NW corner, leading you to the Underground City.

I am officially dumb. Just found the damn exit again. I think my mistake was not having looked at it when I first entered the ship all those months ago, so the orange-blue icon didn't show up on the map. I didn't remember where I entered the ship either, so I just ran around looking for the way out.

No problem, glad to see people are still playing this game, it's one of my favourite from the genre. It's also somewhat non-linear, so if you're stuck, there might be other ways to get where you need to go.
