I've created a new topic for this, as it seems to be a bizarre and very specific problem.
After reinstalling the 20th Anniversary Edition I am now having sound problems. Specifically, if I change between Remastered and Old sound modes from the pause menu, it does not take effect immediately in-game.
I have to quit to the title screen then load it in again for changes to take effect. I could have sworn It used to work fine, with the changes taking immediate effect as soon as gameplay is resumed from the pause menu, the first time I had it installed. Unless I'm remembering it wrong and maybe confusing it with the 15th Anniversary Edition? Can anyone please confirm?
If it is a fault, and not just the way the game is, then it seems as though it's not saving properly. But I just can't figure out how to fix it.
Please help, someone?
BTW - I'm running Windows 8 (64-BIT) with all the latest drivers.
