Hello,

I bought the game (1404 Gold Edition) two days ago, and it seems that after a PC restart the profile(s) I played with before, gets somehow deleted, and the game asks me to create a new profile directly after the loading screens.
This does not happen, when I start the game multiple times during the day, when the PC is turned on all the time.
I booted up my PC this morning, and the profiles are gone...
If it helps, so far I only played the Venice scenarios.

Any ideas?

Edit: Okay it seems that NOT using Galaxy has solved my problem. :)

Similar problem here.

I played the base game some hours and some Venice scenarios with the same profile (over the course of many days, so the PC was turned off and on many times) and now my profile is gone. Not using Galaxy hasn't solved my problem :-(.

The savegames from the profile are still there, but achievements are disabled.

Now it's my question: any ideas?

1) Backup the profile file and delete it in the profile folder (AppData->Roaming->Ubisoft->Anno1404->Profiles)
2) Create a new profile when you start the base game (not the addon)
3) Close the game. Now a new profile file (with a new number) in the folder appears.
4) Backup your Backup from 1) and give it the new number.
5) Copy it in the profiles folder and overwrite it.
6) Play Anno or Anno Venice. If you close the game you find now two profiles in the folder. Your old one with the old number (keep it!) and the new one (you can delete it).

Please don't ask me, why 6) works as described. I have no idea.
