I'm thinking about getting into the Anno series. Lots of good messages elsewhere in this forum about which is best.

But I'm wondering about the pricing. Why is 1503 cheaper than 1602, even though 1503 is newer? Older games are usually cheaper than newer ones.

Any insights are appreciated!

Not necessarily GOG has some weirdly expensive old games.
Though I would agree for a series it probably isn't the norm.
