I have Anno 1701 on DS; is there much of a difference in the PC version, or are they very similar games? (Hope to pick up one of the Anno games soon, enjoyed Anno 1701 quite a bit on the DS, would go with that one if significantly different...but if the main difference is just the interface and cosmetics, then I would likely go with one of the earlier ones.)

Let's do some common sense thinking. The DS was...not a powerful system.

At best, the Anno on the DS was a well made, but massively shrunken game.

At worst, it's another game with an Anno skin slapped on.

Either way, it isn't the real McCoy.
