Greetings!

I've recently acquired Anno 1701 AD via GOG(Expansion included). Due to my physical copy having a bad life.

So normally with multiplayer games, Gamespy would be used but it's now defunct.

My friend and I are trying to play together but due to distance (in a different state and aren't in the same household), we're using 3rd party VPN software such as Hamachi (And yet to be tested: Tunngle)

Now get this, we both have the same Language specific product. (US Version)
Both of us have the right version showing in the bottom right hand corner of the game display: 1.04

We've tried a direct connection. Tried searching via the LAN lobby screen. All to no avail with any of our games showing up for each other. (*Additional: We switch the Hamachi Host if that person wants to make the game*)

Any ideas what might be going on?
Do you guys know of the port forwarding numbers needed to be activated?

Thanks.

Any news on this. I am downloading it now and looking for ways to play multi-player across time zones. PST to EDT.
