Gog shouldn't sell games that don't even launch...

These games are easily found for free but require patches or unofficial mods to launch
Gog usually makes sure the games run on modern pc

with Anno 1503 its impossible to even launch.

have tried on multiple pcs...

did anyone get this working on win 11 please ?

I'm only running Windows 10, but this might help anyway. For me when trying to start the executable would start (can be seen in task manager) but nothing would display. To get it to work I had to enable the "Run in 640 x 480 screen resolution" option.

This can be done by accessing the folder for the game (right-clicking the game if using GOG Galaxy and selecting Manage Installation -> Show Folder) then right click on 1503Startup.exe, select Properties and goto the Compatibility Tab. There tick the Run in 640 x 480 screen resolution check box and click ok.

For me I could the successfully start the game, hopefully you can too. Note: You can still use the options menu in the game to change the resolution so you aren't stuck playing at 640 x 480 resolution.
